A Song of Remorse

By: Ahrend R. Walters
To: Tom Gilbert

With the music sounding
here in this solemn room
My heart is singing
of remorse to you
She is hurt from the past wrong
that came from her passion
That aims so strongly
for the love
For the love so tender and pure
so wholesome and complete
She strives
as she's hurt in regards to the past expression
That she allowed to be uttered
in silence
Not realizing
how it would appear at that moment
Not realizing that it would appear
as sinful
That appearance was
but was not what she intended
As a tear now rolls from her cheek
a tear of regret
She never meant
no she never meant
For a deeming judgment
to make it's way to your ear
But rather intended for the love to be heard
in truth
As she now sings
of remorse to you
Pleading for your forgiveness
and merciful pardon
For the judgment that she uttered
into the canal of your ear
From my mouth From my mouth
so eager
